An APICS Company Coordinator is the liaison between their company and the APICS Orange County Chapter. In essences, you are the eyes and ears of our chapter between the four walls of your company. This program is voluntary and time requirements will vary depending on the size of your organization. Most Company Coordinators will invest about one hour per month coordinating and dispersing information within their organization.

COMPANY COORDINATORS DESCRIPTION
The Company Coordinator is an individual dedicated to the professional and educational philosophies of APICS and represents APICS and the educational needs of the employees within his or her company.

An APICS Company Coordinator acts as a liaison between their company and the APICS Orange County Chapter. They disseminate information about monthly APICS activities, coordinate registration process, make membership applications available, and help the company derive maximum benefit from its affiliation with APICS Orange County.

Company Coordinators can make a significant difference in the success of APICS membership recruitment and retention in a company.
RESPONSIBLITIES & CONDITIONS
  • Must be a current member with Orange County APICS.
  • Company Coordinator must be a full time employee at their company.
  • Work responsibilities are Operations Management related (including but not limited to: production / manufacturing, scheduling, inventory management, procurement, sourcing, logistics, warehousing, etc).
  • Must be able to maintain current electronic distribution capabilities (such as Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, etc).
  • Request upper management’s approval before creating internal distribution list (one time only).
  • Promote and distribute e-blasts, newsletters, seminar brochures, and other APICS literature to interested parties and key personnel. Copy the APICS Director of Company Coordinators on all internal distribution.
  • Provide feedback to the APICS Director of Company Coordinator regarding chapter performance and any educational needs for your company.
  • All Company Coordinators must meet with APICS Director of Company Coordinator at a minimum of twice a year. This is normally accomplished prior to scheduled PDM’s or other events.
  • Company Coordinators must attend at least 4 official APICS Orange County Chapter activities per year. This can include Professional Development Meetings (Monthly Dinner Meeting), Plant Tours, Seminars, etc…
  • Establish a one-stop shop and source of information regarding APICS within your organization.
  • Coordinate registration within your company for Chapter activities and submit names, fees, and supporting information to the APICS chapter office, as required.
  • Company Coordinator is encouraged to create and maintain at their company location, a physical bulletin board with APICS Orange County related information and contact numbers.
