Value Stream Mapping allows you to understand how you create value for the customer most effectively. The Orange County Register highlights that lean concepts are even more important in high cost states like California.

This valuable 1-day workshop will look at how business can translate the desires of the customer to direction for our value stream. You will get prepared by working through a series of exercises on how to map and be asked to bring examples of your own business to review in class.

The class will teach how to:

• Identify what the customer values
• Map the value stream
• Use the map to identify:
  • Waste, like excess inventory
  • Targets for process improvement in the processes that do add value

As an added benefit, your own business map will be started.

The spotlight will not be solely on production of product. The class starts with customer requirements: continues with the business processes, examines "Information Flow" in information activity streams, and concludes with areas and techniques for improvement.

Participants will be able to return to their respective companies and begin implementation of these techniques the following Monday.
