The word has spread; Pharmaceutical manufacturers in the United States will have to comply unit serialization by 2017 as stated on the Drug Quality and Security Act (DQSA). However the implications that the implementation of serialization brings to manufacturers at the packaging line and IT levels have to be addressed properly.

This presentation will provide you with a clear understanding of the context that manufacturers are facing nowadays as well as with important concepts of Serialization and Track and Trace that are crucial for a successful serialization implementation.

This presentation will be beneficial to all supply chain professionals with a primary emphasis for those professionals and executives who will need to implement unit serialization by 2017 as stated on the Drug Quality and Security Act (DQSA).

About our speaker

Benoit Maheux graduated from Engineering Physics and earned a Master in Business Administration from Laval University in Québec City, Canada. He started his career as a Biomaterial Researcher and Science Teacher at his alma mater. His experience in product management and his team building skills have prompted him to lead the group of Serialization Product Managers for Optel Vision.

He is responsible of following country regulations and standards and by working together with industry partners, he manages the Track & Trace solutions road map to address serialization needs in the pharmaceutical industry globally.
