"Streamlining Business
for Recovery"
Presented by: Nicholas M. Testa, Jr. CFPIM,
CSCP, CIRM, Jonah
Master Instructor for APICS Lean Enterprise
Workshop Series (bio)
Capture market share in the recovery by serving
the customer best with the most efficient operations.
The recession has put an intense squeeze on
company cash flow. If you've been asked to do
more with less, this presentation will focus
on delivering maximum value to the customer.
That focus will immediately recover cash by
reducing inventory and waste while improving
overall operations. A structured tool will analyze
what the customer perceives as value. This value
to the customer will be used to examine the
stream that generates it. Value adding (candidates
for improvement) and non-value adding (candidates
for elimination) steps will be separated. An
Action Plan will apply these relatively inexpensive
tools to make crucial changes, minimize cash
investments, improve processes, and speed the
conversion of cash spent to cash collected.
Examples of applications and results from the
real world will illustrate the discussion.
You'll leave with new thinking and tools to
use immediately in your own business and a direct
route to increased cash flow and better operations.
Identify and act on:
- What the customer values.
- Activities that are draining cash but not
delivering value to your customers.
- Problems that keep inventory from flowing
smoothly from one process to the next and
eliminate unneeded inventory.
- Processes that need improvement and create
an improvement action plan.
